Echoes
A social app for club culture and electronic music: save your nights, discover venues and events, and share what was playing.
The idea
Club-night stories disappear after 24 hours. Echoes is built for the opposite: a diary of your nights that keeps the musical context — the venue, the DJs, who you were with and what was playing — so you remember them, rather than collect likes.
What I built
A native iOS and Android app built with Expo and React Native, plus its Laravel backend. The Memory Vault brings together each night's photos, line-up and voice notes; Echo Pulse records ten seconds of the room and the server works out the BPM with ffmpeg and aubio; and squad chats and direct messages arrive instantly thanks to Laravel Reverb and WebSockets. The Vault also uses AI to write a short summary of your nights from your stats.
How I work on it
I designed it screen by screen before writing any code, with animations in Reanimated and Skia, and ship it with OTA updates to iterate quickly with beta users.
