DEVELOPMENT

I'm Rafa Rivas, a freelance software developer based in Madrid. I design and build mobile apps, custom websites and real-time systems — from the first idea to the production server, with the same code this site is made of.

About me

Hi, I'm Rafa.

I've spent years building things end to end: mobile apps, APIs and the infrastructure that keeps them running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with real traffic. I especially enjoy products where something happens live — events, broadcasts, scoreboards that update themselves.

I don't stick to a single role: when needed, I design the interface, code it, deploy it and maintain it myself. If something doesn't quite convince me — a transition, a colour, a loading time — I keep at it until it does. And it's no coincidence that much of what I build has to do with club culture and live events.

From the first sketch to the last deploy.

What I work with

Like the rider an artist sends to the venue before a gig: what I actually use, taken from real projects I have built.

VOICES

What clients say

Thank you, Rafa, for all the time you have dedicated, and continue to dedicate, to listening to our needs and understanding what we wish to convey. Although this is not your primary field, you have successfully captured our essence, creating a website that feels approachable, clear, and transparent, a place where families can easily find what they need. Many of them discover us through the website, and they often remark on how well-organized and clearly explained everything is. If you need a website or a management platform tailored to your center, do not hesitate to reach out to him.

How I work

  1. 01

    We talk

You tell me what you want to build and who it is for. Within 24 working hours I reply with a first idea of how I would approach it.

  2. 02

    Proposal

We turn the idea into concrete features and split them into phases, starting with what adds the most value.

  3. 03

    Design

I design the screens before writing code, so you can see and adjust the product while changes are still cheap.

  4. 04

    Development

I build in deliveries: you see real, working progress, not just screenshots.

  5. 05

    Launch

I ship it to your server or the app stores, and stay on hand to fix, measure and add what comes next.
